2.2.1 Location Information
SunnyFish requires location access to provide accurate weather forecasts and fishing spot services. We collect:
- Real-time GPS coordinates when you enable location services
- Background location updates when you have enabled location-based alerts
- Manually entered location data for saved fishing spots
You can control location permissions through your device settings at any time.
2.2.2 Analytics and Diagnostics (e.g., Firebase)
To provide analytics, improve performance, and troubleshoot issues, we use third-party analytics and diagnostics tools (such as Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, and Firebase Performance) that may automatically collect and process the following information:
- App usage and interaction events: such as page views, feature taps, frequency, session duration, and event parameters (which may include summaries related to what you submit in certain features, e.g., count-based statistics when creating a fishing spot).
- Crash and error diagnostics: such as error type, stack traces, occurrence time, app version, device model, and OS version.
- Performance and network request metrics: such as startup/loading time, request latency, response status codes, response size, and failure rates.
- Anonymous identifiers: such as a device ID/anonymous ID that we generate and persist locally, used for analytics and diagnostics without directly identifying your real-world identity.
After you sign in, we may associate your account identifier (e.g., username) with the analytics/diagnostics data above to identify account-level issues and improve your experience.
2.2.3 Payment and Subscription Information
When you make an in-app purchase or subscription, restore purchases, or verify an order, the payment platform and related SDKs may provide (or we may read) the following information:
- Product and transaction information: product identifiers (productId) and transaction identifiers (transactionId).
- Purchase credentials: purchase tokens/receipts (such as purchaseToken/transactionReceipt, depending on the platform and implementation).
- Subscription status information: such as purchase status, expiration time, and auto-renewal status (where available).
We may send necessary transaction information to our servers to validate orders, synchronize membership entitlements, handle refunds/disputes, and meet compliance requirements. We do not store your full payment card information.
2.2.4 Media Access and Upload Information
When you use features such as taking/selecting and uploading photos (or videos), we may, with your permission, access the camera or photo library and process the following information:
- Media metadata: local media identifiers (URI), file name, file size, media type, etc.
- Media content: the photo/video content you choose to upload (for features such as fishing spot photos).
If you do not grant camera/photo library permissions, related features may not be available.
2.2.5 Network and Device Connectivity Information
To ensure service availability and optimize user experience, we may automatically collect:
- Network connectivity information: network connection status and type (e.g., Wi‑Fi/cellular), carrier and network generation details (where available).
- Technical and diagnostic information: technical details about requests and responses (e.g., request duration, response status codes, error codes) for performance analysis and troubleshooting.
2.2.6 Automatic Collection by Map and Third-Party Services
When you use maps, weather layers, or other third-party services, the service providers may automatically collect device information, network information, and feature-related data in accordance with their own privacy policies (for example, processing location-related data to render map features).
